After planning the deck’s design, measurements are taken in order to layout the postholes so that the deck is properly supported. Once the postholes have been dug and the posts securely set, measurements are taken to calculate the height of the bonds. Bonds are set so that the deck is attached firmly to the house. The next step is to add beams to the posts. The beams are used to support the deck joists, which will form the framing of the deck. Once the joists have been added, the decking can start to be constructed. Decking can be done in several different designs, including straight decking, angled decking, and herringbone decking. After the decking is complete, railing is put up and stairs are added. The build process in then complete and the deck is ready to be cleaned and stained.
